What Are The Odds On Having The Channel Ten Melbourne Cup Live On The Internet?

Well, the Channel 10 Melbourne Cup show has been one of the most viewed TV shows this season. The race is just around the corner and so does the controversy. Many people have seen Jackie Hardon's win over NSW Premier Mike Baird and now she is up against him for the governorship. So what are we going to get this time?

Well it looks like we will be getting a good old fashioned fight between the two main characters, Mike Hosking for Labor and Jackie Masters for the Liberals. If you were one of the many people who predicted this match you would have been wrong as it has been predicted that the Labor leader will try to form a government anyway so that means we could be seeing a very entertaining fight. Of course, if Labor forms a minority government with the help of the Greens, then things could get messy.

First up we have the announcement from Channel 10 that they will be hosting the official Melbourne Cup Party from the MCG Park. No word on when we will see that or where exactly the party will be held but rest assured that it will be happening somewhere at the MCG. A big question however has been raised as to whether or not the Labor MP for Melbourne Metro, Craig Jones, will be attending? He has always said he will be there but has not confirmed anything yet. Many people have speculated as to why he hasn't turned up.

There have also been reports that the show may move from their studios at the Entertainment Centre into a bigger venue at the Park Theatre. This would make sense as it is only a matter of time before we see the show online. The venue for the show has not yet been confirmed by the show promoters although it is understood they are discussing the idea at the moment. They have also had to cancel a few other shows because of poor audience response and this could well be another factor in the delay.

Other than those cancellations, there are no other major problems with the show at the moment. The sound and picture has been described as excellent and the advertising has also been well received. Everyone that goes to the show seems to enjoy it and many people have been commenting on how good the match really was. It's fair to say that if Channel Ten want to ensure they have a successful touring show, they will have to put the online show on the back-burner for a while until the traffic gets back on track again. We shall have to wait and see if they can hold on to their rating for a few more weeks. If they don't, it may be time to start speculating as to what could happen next. With the ratings still holding, it will be interesting to see if any other local television stations start to carry the show online. It is highly unlikely that it will gain much popularity online but it is possible that a few websites do carry it.
