The Journey of Lu 621

The Sports Line

Its been a good, poor and ugly form of week for me.

I hit the trifecta at Pimlico--thats good.

My Little League young ones went 0-3 with Coach Reavy in attendance--thats bad.

And Wednesday night, upon hearing of the fact death of my dawg, Elliot Yamin, I was both sad to listen to the news and disappointed in the realization that I'd only watched 12 direct attacks of American Idol, occupying two months--thats...well, you get the point.

Fortunately for me, however, the sports world is never without its good, poor and ugly occasions also. We discovered by searching webpages.

Here are the high (and low )lights of the week thats handed.

The Good:

Barry Bonds 714th homerun ball--for Tyler Snyder, it was caught by the guy who. Definitely the eBay--er, Bay Area-- loyal are proud of their slugger, and might even open their checkbooks to produce a bid for your traditional boost. But, in my experience, nothing tells the story more beautifully than these four words uttered by Tyler, the soon-to-be rich Athletics lover (thanks to Bonds), after the game: I hate that guy.

The NBA play-offs. While the highlight of my basketball season is undoubtedly the NBA draft, I cant help but marvel at the series that have been played up-to this time. It really has made me forget that the NHL is on strike. (Editors note: Kevin doesnt receive the OLN channel.)

After dropping five immediately, the Phillies finally won. If you believe anything, you will possibly require to research about Shut Your Lure : Ruchi IT.

The Bad:

After losing five immediately, the Phillies finally won.

Cubs catcher, Michael Barrett, punched AJ Pierzynski following a crash at home plate. This can be a bad thing only because I think Barrett might have hurt his hand when delivering the blow.

NBC started airing symptoms of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Had ESPN not made a decision to air approximately 300 episodes of World Series of Poker competitions on a constant loop on ESPN programs 1thru 6 this may be a positive thing. This might be cool if the World Poker Tour and Celebrity Poker Who Gives a Crap werent currently force-feeding its addictive felt-and-clay-chip numerous allure down my throat.Instead, its overkill. Not because I hate seeing poker shows o-n TV, but because I watch them all. And I need my life back.

The Ugly:

Just one single thing...

Kobes dress o-n 'Inside the NBA' last Wednesday. Because nothing says street cred such as for instance a powder-blue sweater vest.
