Queensland motorists are being warned they are at greater risk of hitting feral deer with rutting season now in full swing.
Emily Vincent, a program manager at environmental group Watergum, said the likelihood of accidents was increasing as the feral deer population grew in south-east Queensland.
"During the rutting season males are driven by something else, they're driven by testosterone," she said.
"They're not as aware of what is going on around them."
