The Gold Coast’s tourism industry is in for another boost with more direct flights coming to the city.

Jetstar will launch flights between the glitter strip and Canberra from mid-September.

Currently Virgin only has one daily direct flight between the two cities while Qantas only has three direct flights a week.
Jetstar plans to launch its Gold Coast-Canberra service with four flights per week operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
