Recycle Old Sweatshirts Instead of consigning worn sweatshirts to the rag bag, turn them into an attractive stadium blanket, crocheted rug, or other useful project.... Read more RECIPE FOR GUNK (AKA SLIME) 1. Mix 2 cups regular school glue, 1.5 cups water, and a few drops of food coloring in a large mixing bowl.
2. Dissolve 2 tsp. borax (look in the laundry aisle) in 1 cup water. Have a helper slowly pour this into the glue mixture while you stir constantly. The gunk will form very quickly.
3. When stirring becomes difficult, knead with hands. Pour off extra water. Keep gunk in a covered bowl or zip bag when not in use.
EXTRA TIP: One of my friends put this gunk in plastic eggs as party favors--called them dinosaur eggs. Great for boys' birthdays. Who wants to make $ creating cool little cross necklaces? . | |||||
