 Hi folks...this site is for cat lovers. We have 17 ourselves. Almost all of our cats are rescues or stray cats that decided to live with us. Once they decide to live here, they are here for life. We love them all dearly and they all have their own personalities and quirks.
Cats are good for people. They are wonderful companions, natural alarm clocks (all cat owners know the 5am wake-up), security managers (see a spider, kill a spider), talented massage therapists, personal trainers (get up and tend to my needs), counselors (will sit and listen for hours) and the list goes on. Plus, cats are great stress relievers. Just gazing at cute pictures, such as kitten pictures, triggers a release of the hormone oxytocin, which reduces levels of stress hormones, improves heart health and intensifies loving feelings. So, everyone should be a cat owner. Owning a cat is good for your mental, emotional and physical health.
I have cared for stray cats for over twenty-five years and have been quite successful. I build my own cat shelters and have come up with some off-the-wall ways to generate extra money for food and veterinary care. I will post a page soon on how I do that for those of you whom are interested in caring for stray cats. It is extremely rewarding to care for stray cats...most have been abused, abandoned, neglected or are lost and will never find their way home. I do what I can to help them and I make a difference. The goal is always to tame them enough to capture them and get them spayed/ neutered. Some decide to stay with us, some move on and others we've found good homes for.

Since a new year is upon us...please remember your local humane society/animal shelter. Most operate on donations and every penny counts. Ours does what they call "pennies for puppies" for those who volunteer at local shelters.
